Legend whispers that The Bloodline Table was founded not by men, but by The Nocturnal Five — a secret vampire coven that believed snooker was not a game, but a ritual of focus, patience, and immortal skill.
By moonlight, they crafted the first table from ancient oak found in a forgotten European forest.
The felt was dyed with a shade of green said to resemble the “eternal eye” — the symbol of their order.
Only those with a calm mind and unwavering precision were permitted to play.
1700s
For decades, the coven hosted silent matches in candle-lit chambers, hidden beneath cathedrals and abandoned fortresses.
To humans, it looked like a gentleman’s pastime. But in truth, it was a test of discipline and immortal strategy.
1800s
Vampires rarely trust humans. But a few extraordinary mortal players, with senses sharp enough to rival the nightwalkers, were invited to join the Bloodline. These humans became Day Sentinels — guardians of the legacy during daylight hours.
Together, humans and vampires formed the first mixed dynasty of the Bloodline Table.
EARLY 1900s
With the rise of cities, crowds, and electric lights, the coven withdrew further underground. The Bloodline Table dissolved all public gatherings and shifted entirely into secret halls, shadow rooms, and nocturnal arenas. Snooker was spreading worldwide, but the original, disciplined, ritualistic form remained protected within the Bloodline.
Only chosen heirs — both mortal and immortal — were permitted to witness the matches.
THE REAWAKENING
Today, the vampire coven no longer hides in castles. They live among us — architects, scholars, artists, athletes — still guarding the tradition of the Table.
The Bloodline Table now operates as a private underground guild, where members (human and otherwise) continue the ancient rite.
